For more than five years, a ministry of mercy and evangelism has been serving truck drivers along the Georgian Military Highway at the border between two countries. This ministry takes place along a difficult route where hundreds of trucks line up every day.
Due to narrow roads, winter avalanches, and strict border control, drivers often wait for weeks to cross the border. During this time, they run out of food and water and experience health and hygiene challenges.
Brothers and sisters regularly visit them with simple, practical help:
- distributing bread and drinking water;
- preparing hot meals (about 300 portions per day, and sometimes up to 1,000);
- providing basic medical assistance;
- offering opportunities to shower and wash clothing;
- talking with drivers, praying together, and inviting them to a prayer house.
Evangelism holds a special place in this ministry. New Testaments are distributed in 12 languages. In 2025, more than 50 outreach trips were carried out, and more Gospels were distributed than meals served.
Drivers passing through this checkpoint come from many different countries and are primarily Muslims. Many gratefully receive the help, remember the Christian care shown to them, and take Scripture not only for themselves but also for their families.
Over the years, trust has been built, and many truck drivers now recognize and know our brothers. Thank you to everyone who supports this ministry through prayer and giving. Because of you, the Gospel reaches people in difficult conditions, far from home.
