“Miracles don’t happen these days,” some might say. But we are convinced otherwise — because we see small miracles every day.
When visiting bedridden individuals in their homes, we witness how the Lord works through simple, sincere service. We enter each home with a smile — blessing, sharing about Christ, leaving spiritual literature and a food package. The reactions are different: some smile, some cry and embrace us — always out of deep gratitude. Sometimes it seems like we’ve done so little… yet the eyes of these lonely people shine with joy. Isn’t that a miracle? We ourselves are inspired as we see how simple attention can bring so much happiness — and then we hurry on to the next visit.
Care and love in the name of Jesus Christ truly create miracles.
Here’s one example: in one apartment, a man lives on a mattress — not even a bed. Around him are the essentials — water, medicine, food, books — all within arm’s reach. He is alone. No help. No movement. Years spent in such a condition — it’s beyond our comprehension.
To speak with him, you must sit beside him — not above him. So that your eyes meet. So that your words reach his soul. We believe this is how Christ ministered. And that’s why miracles happened.
And here too — a short conversation, a kind word, an unexpected moment of care — and the person seems to come alive. You can almost feel they’re about to rise and walk…
And how grateful are the mothers who have spent years caring for their disabled children! When such a mother trusts you to hold her child in your arms — it’s priceless.
