From March 18 to 27, a group of brothers traveled across the Primorsky region, covering 3,000 kilometers. They visited 16 institutions — orphanages, rehabilitation centers, psychiatric clinics, and nursing homes.
In the orphanages, the children showed genuine curiosity and asked questions about the meaning of Easter. When asked, “What is this holiday?” many answered, “It’s when people paint eggs.” But after the conversations, they began to understand the deep meaning of Christ’s Resurrection.
In a psychiatric institution, a man named Zhenya introduced himself: “I am mentally disabled. My life began in a children’s home, and now I live in an adult institution. But I am a true believer,” — and he sang a Christian song.
In a boarding school for the hearing-impaired, the children listened attentively and asked profound questions, such as: “Why did God give His Son to suffer and die? Couldn’t He save humanity another way if He is almighty?”
We thank God for this opportunity — that the doors to these institutions are open and that we are able to serve in this way.
