When Faith Comes Alive Through Action

 August 5, 2025

“Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:17)

The Christian life is not only about words and prayers — it comes alive through our actions, especially when we notice the needs around us. Of course, we cannot change the whole world, but we can touch someone’s life and make it better — through care, compassion, and sincere support.

In this issue, we want to share stories of those who have faced great hardship — and how, through our shared faith and heartfelt participation, their lives were touched and strengthened. For some, it was a much-needed box of food; for others, warm clothing; and for some, even a farm animal that became a source of hope and sustenance. For Angelina, who is blind, and for Syrian refugees, our help became not only a relief in their suffering but also a living testimony of God’s love, one that can lead to spiritual awakening.

Each of these stories is more than just a tale of need — it is a powerful example of how the Gospel works in everyday life. When we do good in the name of Jesus Christ, it never goes unnoticed. It warms hearts, strengthens faith, and helps people find their way to the Savior.

By serving others, we simply fulfill what we are called to do: to be the light and the salt of the earth, reflecting the character of our loving Lord. This is especially valuable today, when indifference and fear have sadly become too common.

We invite each reader of this bulletin to reflect: Where and how can I become part of God’s answer to someone’s prayer today? Who near me might need a kind word, a loaf of bread, comfort, or simple support? Remember, when we help others, we not only bless them — we also strengthen our own faith.

May the Lord richly bless you to be not only a hearer, but a doer of His Word, showing His kindness in action.
