The project providing help to needy families in rural areas has proven to be extremely valuable. In many villages, stable employment is nonexistent, and people survive on occasional day labor or small pensions. Thanks to your support, we were able to assist families by giving them farm animals — chicks, hens, goats, sheep, and piglets.
Below is one testimony:
Dear friends, brothers and sisters, greetings to you.
My name is Tsira Gnolizde, I am 48 years old and live in the village of Karbi, in the Gori region of Georgia. I am a mother of two children. When I was 30, my husband passed away suddenly. Losing him was a tremendous tragedy for me — I took his death very hard and spent a long time in depression. We were left without any means of living, and I raised my children in great poverty.
Later, my son married, and they had three children. We all lived together as one family. But some time ago, my son also passed away. His death was a second, crushing blow for me.
Now I live with my daughter-in-law, and together we raise three orphaned grandchildren. We live in deep need. Seeing our situation, some neighbors and relatives tried to help, but their help was only enough for a short while. Many nights I would wake up wondering how I would feed the children in the morning, crying and asking God for help, because it was unbearable to see the orphans hungry. We have gone through very, very difficult times.
During this hard period, brothers from the church came to us and extended a helping hand. God’s people brought us chicks. When the children saw them, they were overjoyed! What surprised us even more was that the brothers also brought high-quality feed along with the chicks. Words cannot express the joy of seeing my children smile again.
Your help showed us that there are still kind and caring people in this world. Now we look to the future with hope and believe that, together, much can change.
We sincerely thank God and the Aid in Difficulty mission for this help given in our time of need. May God richly bless you all.
With love,
Tsira Gnolizde
