Christ in Every Person in Need: A Call to Mercy

 November 29, 2025

Mercy is one of the greatest expressions of Christian love. John Chrysostom spoke with particular power about the importance of helping the poor and the outcast, reminding us that in every suffering person we encounter Christ Himself. His words speak just as strongly today, urging us not to pass by those in need and to see in this an opportunity to serve God.

Mercy is not just a good habit — it is part of our calling. By helping the poor, we not only support our neighbor, but also perform a service before God. May our hearts be open to compassion and our hands ready for good works.

Aid in Difficulty (AID) continues its ministry, helping the needy, widows, orphans, and families facing difficult circumstances. In this issue, we share the stories of rejected Roma communities, suffering individuals with disabilities, and people living in poverty. We receive many requests for help, but unfortunately, we do not have the resources to respond to all of them.

Your support is deeply valued and greatly needed. May the Lord bless the work of your hands and reward you abundantly for your kindness and compassion.
